Velvet Blazers are Hot this Fall

Leaves are changing colors and so is the fashion color pallet. It’s that time of year where we transition from the bright and bold colors of summer to warm and deep color hues of autumn.

It’s my favorite time of year and not just because my birthday is next week, but that certainly doesn’t hurt. *Hint, Hint: Honey if you are reading this, I want the Boden Double breasted dark navy blazer.

I love feminine blazers for fall. They are great to keep warm on chilly autumn mornings when you are out dropping the kids off at school, perfect for grown up tailgating if you prefer not to be dressed in head to toe sweat gear emblazoned with your favorite collegiate team on them, and work out amazingly with a flowy dress and boots for brisk date nights in late October.

They are the best kept style secret for adding texture to your fall wardrobe and they are also functional in the fact that they actually serve a purpose; to keep you warm.

I can see myself now, walking the girls around our new neighborhood at Halloween, wearing jeans, t-shirt, scarf and a velvet blazer and probably with a warm cup of hot chocolate in hand while multicolored leaves crunch beneath my feet.

Yes, I love fall and I can not wait to try out this hot new style. How about you? What is the fall fashion trend you are most looking forward to?
