Treat Yourself to a New Bag and Do Your Part to Help the Homeless
Do you remember having a fanny pack? Do you ever find yourself wishing you could get away with wearing one in public now that you have so many miscellaneous items you have to tote around for your kids?
My son is way past the diaper stage, but it’s crazy how much crap is in my purse at any given point.
A way to carry everything and keep my hands free has been at the top of my wish list for quite some time now, so I was really excited to stumble across hiip.
Hiip, a new company founded by Nicole Flowers, has managed to make the fanny pack acceptable to wear in public once more. Treat yourself to one of these stylish bags and all your on-the-go organizational problems will be solved.
There are lots of fun prints to choose from, but my personal favorite is the Black Barber Bird style featured in this post.
If prints aren’t your thing, they have canvas bags in a rainbow of colors as well. Most of the bags are priced around $60. The site accepts payment via Paypal, so you don’t even need to have a credit card to snag yourself one of these adorable bags.
Although the bags are stylish enough that you really don’t need any added incentive to buy them, hiip has a mission that is worth supporting.
When you purchase a hiip bag, a matching hiip bag is given to a homeless person in one of San Francisco’s neediest neighborhoods. The bags include essentials like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, socks, lip balm, and sunscreen, to help make a life a little easier for those without a stable residence.
What do you think of the hiip bags? Is this something you’d buy for yourself or as a gift for a friend?
