Treat Yourself to a Better Breakfast
If you’re looking for a change of pace from cold cereal in the morning, consider trying Oat Revolution steel cut oatmeal from Better Oats.
This oatmeal cooks in just 2 1/2 minutes, so you can have a hot breakfast in the same amount of time it would take you to add milk to a bowl of Cheerios.
Oat Revolution steel cut oatmeal is cut thick to preserve its natural texture and carries the 100% Whole Grain stamp from the Whole Grains Council. The oatmeal also provides a good source of fiber and ALA omega-3. It is considered a heart healthy breakfast choice.
I love that the instructions say to fill the empty pouch with water instead of making you dig out a separate measuring cup. I hate mornings and am not up to anything that requires actual effort until at least 9 am. If I have to dig for measuring cups for my breakfast, I’m likely to just not eat.
I’m a big fan of adding flax seed to my foods for its digestive benefits, so I like that this oatmeal is made with flax seed. I don’t think the flax seed affects the flavor at all, however.
Oat Revolution steel cut oatmeal is available in three varieties: maple and brown sugar, apples and cinnamon, and classic. I definitely like the maple brown sugar oatmeal the best.
If you’re not normally an oatmeal fan, try adding different toppings to your oatmeal to make it more appealing. After I stumbled across an article on creative oatmeal toppings, I discovered that I actually like oatmeal with a bit of peanut butter and/or granola on top.
