We have a girl that’s going to be having a birthday very soon. And though she has asked for a cake with a picture of herself on it (an idea she apparently picked up from Dora the Explorer), I am trying to sway her mind a bit.
I’ve been cruising the interwebs, looking for some cute ideas, and have to say there’s a gazillion of them out there.
She is a huge lover of animals and the zoo, so I considered showing her this safari birthday party over at Pizzazzerie; it’s way too cute. And actually, this could totally work for a girl or a boy, which is even better considering some of her friends that she wants to invite to her party are, indeed, boys.
If it were not the middle of winter, and we could do something outside, I would be all over this carnival party or this olympic party. Both are bright, cheery, and fun … what more could a toddler want, right?
Of course, because she can be pretty girly, I’m betting she’s going to gravitate towards something more like this pinwheel party, or her dream party would involve Hello Kitty (much to my husband’s chagrin).
I’m not sure we’ll do anything quite this elaborate, but we can probably come up with some cute gift bags and some cupcakes.
As if all of these finds weren’t enough to get my mind going, I ended up finding this photo set of 50 different birthday party themes … really? 50? That’s okay … I love browsing this kind of stuff.
