Pumpkin Facial Mask

Posted on Sep 23, 2011 by 2 Comments

What has pumpkin, honey and heavy cream? Not ya mamma’s pumpkin pie! Nope, it’s this exfoliating, wrinkle reducing facial mask sent to me by Erika Katz, mother of two and the author of Bonding over Beauty, A Mother-Daughter Beauty Guide to Foster Self-Esteem, Confidence and Trust.

Here’s what you do:

2 tsp canned pureed pumpkin
1/2 tsp honey
1/4 tsp heavy whipping cream
Mix all ingredients and apply to face. Leave on for 10 min and rinse (in the meantime, try not to lick your face).

I’ve been looking for canned pumpkin here in our tiny town in France. Alas, they don’t believe in such things, or if they do I don’t know what to call it or where to find it on the supermarket shelves.

God forbid I ask, because I’d probably ask for canned pig’s feet or something without realizing it, just the way I’ve been inadvertently asking the fish monger here for 2 churches rather than 2 salmon steaks (long story). No wonder the fish monger starts pointing furiously to the church across the street from the poissonerie. Urgh, the language barrier!

But I’m still looking. Can you give this a try for me and tell me how bright your skin glows?
