I may be a little late to this, but I thought it was worth mentioning anyway. H&M has a Mama section filled with hip, cheap maternity clothes. So, it’s easier than you think to continue to look stylish while preggers.
I’ve been stalking Target, the Gap and other cheap places (especially when they put things on sale) for maternity clothes even though I’ve borrowed some very nice things this pregnancy. There is just something comforting about wearing your own clothes, especially when you spill things on your expanding belly as much as I do!
So, even though I could deliver any minute now, I bought myself a nice wrap from H&M the other day while I was Christmas shopping. Call it a little retail therapy, a very effective if not temporary pick me up.
Plus, I can rationalize it by saying that I can wear it right after the baby comes and I’m not yet in to my regular body. But of course, we ALL know just how much newly un-pregnant women like to continue to wear maternity clothes, right?!?
Anyway, I think it’s great that H&M added a maternity section to their stores. Not all stores have a Mama section, so probably best to call or scout it out some other way before making a trip. Since it’s so easy to feel blah while pregnant, a cheap little hip outfit can do wonders. It did for me.
And for all those pregnant mamas who might be walking down the aisle, there’s even a site that specializes in Maternity Wedding Dresses.
