Mother May I is basically another form of Simon Says. It is a great game to play at the end of a meeting or class time because the players do have to concentrate, which keeps the noise down. It also is one of those lovely games that helps children practice listening skills.

Not that they need that, for goodness sakes.

You know that song, the Itsy Bitsy Spider? Some people call it the Eentsy Weentsy Spider. Regardless, the Itsy Bitsy Spider crawled up the waterspout, encountered some bad weather and bad luck. But the sun cures all and she finds herself doing it all over again.

Kinda like having child #2.

I actually love this song because it incorporates lovely little hand gestures that captivate even the smallest of audiences.
