Select-O-Stick Charades Is Fun for the Whole Family

If your family enjoys playing games together, this adorable Select-O-Stick Charades game from Restoration Hardware would be a great addition to your regular game roundup.

The set features fun charades options like:

  • Book – A Tale of Two Cities
  • Words of Wisdom – Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
  • Movie – Forrest Gump

Whenever my family attempts to play charades, we have trouble thinking of things to act out. This set would be very helpful in giving us ideas to play. I also really like that the ideas are printed on wooden sticks instead of paper playing cards. This game seems like it’s durable enough to hold up to regular use.

Although the charades set is listed as being appropriate for children ages seven and up, I do think some of the ideas might be too hard for younger kids to get.

For example, I doubt my second grader would be able to act or guess Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Still, you can easily get around this small flaw in the game by plucking out anything you think is too difficult before you play.

There are 56 different sticks, so taking out a few wouldn’t drastically change the overall game play.

If you’re looking for Christmas gift ideas, this would be a wonderful, inexpensive choice for any sort of gift swap. Games are one of my favorite gift swap choices because they can be enjoyed by people of all ages and are usually fairly inexpensive. The Select-O-Stick Charades game, for example, is just $12.

What do you think of this Select-O-Stick Charades game?
