Kim Releases Another Adorable Pic of North West
Since Kim Kardashian has lost her baby weight and come out of hiding, she’s back to work and enjoying life in the limelight. In fact, this past week she was at the fashion show in Paris where she revealed her slimmed-down curves in true Kardashian style.
While she was gone, she missed her daughter North West and posted a note to Kanye West saying so. “I missed waking up with my little [angel],” (she used a little angel emoji) and along with the message, she posted a picture of Nori all swaddled in white. This is only the second picture of the baby released for the public to see. The first was a snapshot Kayne shared while on Kris Jenner’s talk show
Anyone who follows the Kardashians knows that Kris Jenner is Kim’s mom. Timing the first glimpse of baby Nori on Kris’ fledgling talk show was a great way to try to boost ratings.
This time it was Kim’s turn to share a photo. She posted it on Instagram and I have to say, North is adorable and growing. The backdrop of the pic is an expensive-looking fluffy white rug. I guess you could say she looked as “snug as a bug on a rug” and wrapped up like a cocoon.
While the pic is adorable, it also reveals that Kim is another celebrity mom who swaddles her new born. This is an old-fashioned technique used to create a womb-like environment that is thought to help calm babies and help them sleep.
While many parents embrace swaddling, it’s a source of controversy. Some studies suggest there may be a link between swaddling and an increased risk of hip development problems, posture issues, and even SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). Experts are divided on the issued, but the Academy of Pediatrics says swaddling is an effective way to calm infants, ‘especially in the newborn period’.
When can we expect more pics? Seems that Kim has told her family to be extra cautious about the pictures they share on Instagram and Twitter. Not that she thinks they’d sell them, but that they might inadvertently share them as part of life is not out of the question. So I guess for now, we’ll get a pic every now and then until the baby’s older and out and about.
