I found this DIY jewelry organizer on one of my favorite websites, DesignSponge, that I just love. My jewelry is a mess and I’ve all but given up on getting it organized.
Since you can’t see it, I rationalize, what does it matter that it’s a mess? This “hidden” jewelry box is great, though. Organized. Hidden. Cool!
Basically, you use an old painting with a wooden frame (or, in my case, a photograph since I have way more photographs than paintings…hint hint mom) and build a little box behind it. Hinge the painting to the box on the wall, and presto – a case for jewelry and art on the wall.
You can follow the complete directions on DesignSponge.com.
(BTW: my mom is a painter, that’s why the not so subtle hint above).
