I love JCPenney Portraits! We’ve had my son’s photo taken at a variety of places, but you simply can’t beat the low price/high quality combo that JCPenney offers.
If you flip through our family photo album, I doubt you could tell the difference between the JCPenney photos and the photos from the local studio that charged four times as much money. (Here’s a hint: I became much more frugal when I realized how much it actually costs to raise a child!)
If you’re thinking about getting family pictures taken for Christmas cards, right now JCPenney is running a fabulous promotion. In November, you can get free sitting fees, a free 8×10, and a free digital copy of your portrait.
The offer isn’t valid on enhancements, reorders, add-ons, previous orders, or online orders, but it’s still a great deal. You can also order 4×7 greeting cards for 50 cents each with a minimum 35 card purchase if you’re not planning on having your children help you make homemade cards.
Visit the JCPenney Portraits website to search for a studio near you and to book your appointment online. I would suggest doing this as soon as possible, since this is a busy time of year for any photo studio.
JCPenney recommends wearing solid clothing in coordinating colors for your family portrait. Save strong patterns for accessories like neckties and scarves in order to keep the focus on your family’s smiling faces. You can bring in props if you wish, so think about bringing in a special teddy bear or blanket for your child to be photographed with.
