It’s not a color we see often, and perhaps that’s part of its charm. Chartreuse has almost majestic qualities and only works with a small handful of accent colors without veering into… well, snot territory. But on its own or with the proper contrasts, it takes on an almost otherworldly appeal, with an olive green base mixed with a smidge of neon yellow that, when perfectly blended, seems almost as if it’s glowing from the inside out.
Chartreuse brings to mind velvet chaise lounges of the 1920s and 30s, absinthe bars tucked away in the alleys of Paris, and the sort of old world flora only found in dreams. So today, we’re pausing for a moment of zen and gazing through some magical images of this rare green gem. Enjoy…
