Color Crush: Sweet Sky Blue

Every once in a while, we could all use a breath of fresh air. With all the stresses of life, it’s easy to forget to just look up at the sky sometimes and live in the moment.

So, to make things easier, we’ve rounded up a host of inspiration points to help you bring the sky indoors. From tiny little accents to broad swaths of color on the walls, there’s something calming yet uplifting about bringing the great blue yonder into the house.

Since the term “sky blue” obviously has a bit of wiggle room, given the many nuanced shades the actual sky can take on throughout the span of a day, we’ve offered a few variations on the theme, ranging from early-morning paleness to a boldly saturated mid-afternoon blast.

While clouds, sleet, rain and hail may come and go in real life, in iterations like the ones we’ve pulled together, it’s sunny and mild day in and day out.

Blue has always felt, and so left me, a bit cold. But these happy hues are making me warm up to the idea of a little blue in my rooms.

Gorgeous!  Just cut hydrangeas from my yard that are exactly this blue – look incredible in my house.  Painted my son’s room this shade last year too – supposed to make you more creative! :)
