One friend told me that the $700+ Bugaboo stroller she got was the best $700+ she’s ever spent on her baby. Exaggerating? Well, maybe just a tad. I, myself, opted to not buy a Bugaboo with my first child and have been lusting after their strollers ever since. Of course, now that I have 2 kids, it’s a “moo” point (one of my favorite quotes from Joey on Friends), but still.

If you have a singleton, and don’t plan on having a second baby, then you’ve got to check out Bugaboo’s new Denim 107 Collection. It’s their take on denim for a stroller, and it’s available for Bugaboo Cameleon and the Bee. I can just see all those celebrities who love their designer denim going for this.

According to Bugaboo’s website: “The contrast stitching and denim rivets have been designed to reflect the stylish denim culture,” and yes, it does have rivets:

If you’re not blue jean inclined, then there are many other new colors as well: deep purple, soft pink, tangerine and light green (just a shade away from neon). These colors are definitely springy!

And lastly, I hear they are coming out with an organizer that is fully attachable to and detachable from their strollers. Pretty cool – that way you can take your phone, wallet and keys with you when you park your ride.

I’m still waiting for the Bugaboo double stroller that was supposed to be out by now…maybe I’ve missed it, but I don’t think it’s been released yet.

You can check out all of Bugaboo’s new designs at their website.

Do normal people with average incomes really spend this kind of money on a stroller? Yes you do use it for two years or so … but I’m not sure what makes this brand so much more expensive than others. Not quite sold. I could kit out most of a nursery with $700!

I know! I guess it all depends. Here, in Northern California where people walk just about everywhere I see tons of Bugaboos around. Tons. San Francisco is an expensive city, so maybe people are just resigned to paying beaucoup bucks for just about everything.

“Normal people” wait a few months till the fancy moms gets bored of their new toy and sell it for a fraction of the price on Craigslist. :) We bought our 6-month-old bugaboo a year ago, and have been head over heels ever since. With our second baby on the way, I do wish they came up with some sort of double attachment. We’re going to give it a whirl with the standing board for our toddler, which she seems to love, and keep our fingers crossed!

I’m not crazy over bugaboo. Everyone and their neighbor walks with it. Plus take a look at the baby. It’s pity full to see the baby tipped inside. he looks quite uncomfortable.

Hey hey – I just wrote a little something on Bugaboo’s Donkey, their double stroller. It’s here! Only, not really because it’s already sold out…at $1500 per, that’s kinda amazing. But, I like your idea of waiting a bit to see what pops up on Craigslist…that’d definitely a good way to go. Thanks for the reminder.
